The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) is an agency under the Presidency, the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It was established by the SMEDAN Act 2003 to promote the development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise sector of the Nigerian economy.
The Agency aims to enhance the sustainable economic development of Nigeria by positioning itself as a one-stop shop for MSME development and by establishing a structured and efficient MSME sector. The Agency seeks to also facilitate the access of micro, small, medium entrepreneurs and investors to all resources required for their development.
“The MSMEs hold the key to the future of every economy and I truly believe that our partnership with Footprint to Africa will give global entrepreneurs the right opportunity to meet and partner with SME business owners in Nigeria to foster strong business relationships. We will do everything humanly possible to ensure that the right local companies attend.”
Dr. Dikko Umaru-Radda
The Agency believes that by delivering measurable results and providing quality service, the country can achieve an MSME led economic growth, industrialization and job creation. This would combat poverty, a social malaise that threatens national economic growth.
